Introduction and Overview
ZapApp is a platform which allows you to create interactive voice applications that communicate with SIP and PSTN calls using VoIP. ZapApp is a totally cloud based service and no hardware or software is required by an application creator. The application is hosted and run on our platform and the servers required to talk to the telephone calls are also hosted by us.
Applications are created using a script, which is run when a call is connected to our platform. Each script is assigned a unique name and SIP Uri, the Uri is used to allow application creators to point any VoIP provider at their application (see Connecting Your Application).
ZapApp Components
An application can be anything from an automated payment line to a flight checking service. Applications can use services provided by Zapappi to help create a rich user experiance. These services include: -

- Playing Pre-Recorded Audio
- Recording Audio
- Sending and Receiving Digits (DTMF)
- Making Outbound Calls (to a number or SIP URI)
