Mappings

Introduction

Mappings can be created directly from the Mapping tab on the SIP Platform. To create a new Mapping, click the 'Create Mapping' button in the top-right.


Creating Mappings

There are a couple of different ways of creating new mappings. Mappings can either be created individually, created through a range or created as a list.

Mapping Details

There are several details that need to be filled out when creating or editing an endpoint. These are explained in detail below.

EndpointID

The EndpointID can be used to change which endpoint the number should be mapped to. From here there are a selection of your endpoints to choose from in a drop down box.

CustomVar

Custom variables can be used to replace values in an endpoint. This could have multiple uses, such as changing the number a call routes from. Enter the value you want to be used as a replacement in either of the CustomVar boxes.

To access this variable, use %cvar1 or %cvar2 as the value you want to be replaced in the endpoint, depending on which you entered the value into. 

When used, the %cvar1 will be replaced by whatever value is entered into the CustomVar1 field.
